About Magisto

Magisto is a video storytelling app with over 90M users, turning photos and videos into magical moving stories.  Magisto‚Äôs Emotion Sense Technology uses patented story detection to automatically analyze and edit raw footage into movies optimized for emotional impact. Whether you're an individual sharing your life experience or a business sharing your professional narrative, simply capture the moments that move you, Magisto turns them into moving stories.

 

Branding

The following section showcases Magisto's brand identity in the form of logos, icons, promotional materials, ad creatives and external facing collateral.

Logo

The logo illustrates the process of "recording" and "playing" back movies that Magisto has created with the use of its' artificial intelligence technology. The logo is ownable, distinct and crafted with precision. In order to keep it that way, application of effects, distortion or other changes, are unnecessary.  

Business Cards

The approach to the final business card design was simple: family. The decision was to lead with the first name to bring out Magisto's familial character trait. Rounded corners were also added to relay a playful feel. Simplicity was an important part of the concept, so displaying all of the important information on the same side was a critical element. 

Ad Creatives

Magisto ads appear in many places across the web. You can find some as vertical skyscrapers on the side of the native video player within Magisto's online platform or as a banner son top of a sponsored article or a partnership program. Keeping is simple and clean is always the goal, however experimentation with GIFs and videos is highly encouraged.

Icons

The icons are a main part of the brand system. They are used in a unique and compelling way that is authentic to Magisto being a storytelling platform. For App Store and Google Play Store, several iterations were tested to see what the users associate with the most. "Record/Play" icon was chosen in order to separate Magisto from the rest of the pack. 

Company Documents

Both internal and external documents were treated the same, as far as design goes. Simple, clean and elegant composition of both information and imagery in order to guide the readers eye across the page. All documents were optimized for both print and digital publication purposes. Since Magisto is an international company, keeping it simple was priority number one.

Promotional Materials

Magisto took part in many events, trade shows and conferences. Brand presence is a crucial part of any business and the same logic was applied to Magisto's promotional materials. Every piece of collateral has been carefully crafted in order to meet brand standards and showcase versatility as a brand, depending on the event.

 

App Store / Google Play Store

The following section showcases visual identity for Magisto's App Store and Google Play Store presence; including app screenshots, banners, badges, copy and app icons.

App Screenshots

Separating yourself from the pack is an important part of any start-up business. Both Apple and Google Play Stores are filled with dozens of video editing applications and after a while, all of them start to resemble one another. One sure way to stand out is to have eye-capturing app screenshots. The idea was to showcase Magisto's powerful A.I. working behind the scenes.

App Store

Apple has very strict guidelines when it comes down to appearances and testing different creatives in order to figure out what the users prefer best. So every element needs to be carefully selected.

Google Play Store

Google's guidelines are a lot more loose, compared to Apple. It is perfect for A/B testing and lets you test multiple creatives. Anything from banners, icons and app screenshots can be optimized to target a specific audience to test engagement.

 

Investor / Pitch / Overview Decks

At one point or another, any company or start-up will have to present their company to a potential investor or partner. A good pitch deck is an important element of any business and needs to reflect both the information and brand in a clear, presentable manner.
